Agua Dulce Farm & Garden
We aim to make fresh produce accessible to all families in our community.
About
Discover Agua Dulce Farm, where Mary & Mike have embarked on an inspired journey into sustainable agriculture. Situated on the Saanich Penninsula on Vancouver Island, their farm embodies a commitment to regenerative farming practices and a deep connection to the land.
According to the Canadian Organic Growers, “the principal practices of regenerative organic agriculture include reduced tillage; keeping the soil covered as much as possible; providing nutrients and organic matter to the soil in the form of composted manure and plant material; diverse crop rotations incorporating green manures; managed rotational grazing and outdoor access for all livestock; agroforestry, and providing social justice for workers and all other people along the supply chain.”
At Agua Dulce, we employ these time-honoured farming techniques to cultivate a diverse range of non-certified organic vegetables, fruit and herbs as well as free-range eggs, honey and alpaca fibre. Our produce, alpaca yarn & knitwear, preserves and gifts are available for sale at the Farm Stand, and select goods can be purchased online through the South Island Farm Hub distributors.
By choosing to buy from Agua Dulce Farm, you're not just supporting a farm, you're supporting a movement towards a more sustainable future through regenerative farming. Our farm stand is open most weekends year round and weekdays seasonally.
